Standing beside a Red Tingle, dtingle dtingle (Eucalyptus jacksonii), with their towering presence and impressive girth make them awe-inspiring to behold.

Three: north east is one of a series of three works that reflects the different faces of an ancient Red Tingle. Moving around its bell-bottomed shape, each facet provides a distinct viewpoint, showcasing a captivating microcosm of life on one side, still intact and outwardly whole. Another side is partly scarred, sculptured by flames yet holding its shape. The final, north east face, is laid bare - hollowed by fire revealing the hidden interior.

Within this artwork, the layers are enriched with ink pen sketches and tingle charcoal-infused ink washes, sealed in wax to introduce a sense of depth and imbue the piece with an ethereal, mist like, smoky quality.
