DRYLANDS
Inselbergs in The Dry
Amid the inselbergs or monadnocks (granite hills), where plants cling to life in fragile pockets of soil, drought carves deep into the landscape. Shallow-rooted trees are withered by heat, starved of water. These works reflect the quiet unravelling of ecosystems at the edge, where loss is etched into stone and survival is uncertain. In this shifting terrain, I map the tension between endurance and impermanence, capturing a landscape in flux.
